Indian National Army (INA), also known as the Azad Hind Fauj, was an armed force formed during World War II to fight British rule in India. It was first established in 1942 by Captain Mohan Singh with the support of Japan and was later reorganized and led by Subhas Chandra Bose in 1943. Bose formed the Provisional Government of Azad Hind and gave the slogan "Delhi Chalo". The INA fought alongside Japanese forces in the Imphal and Kohima campaigns. Although militarily unsuccessful, the INA inspired nationalist sentiments, and the INA Trials (1945–46) significantly strengthened India's freedom movement.
